The historic 1845 Courthouse can be seen at the south end of town and the beautiful Courthouse Museum is located downtown. There are several parks throughout the City as well as Crandell Lake located to the East of the City.

Musselman set out to enhance the city of Charlotte through community involvement with a festival that, still today, draws in thousands of people from Michigan and beyond. Musselman put together a successful and entertaining festival that has become a tradition for more than 50 years. The festival was so successful after the first year, the high school got their own new set of bleachers. Ever since, the community has made donations for many public area helping advance the festival with the city. The Frontier Days are something the city looks forward to every year as thousands across the city, county, state and even further, set their signs on Charlotte for the weekend. CHARLOTTE, Mich. (WILX) - Frontier Days are back in Charlotte and it kicks off Wednesday night. 10 am – 2 pm – Eaton Area Senior Center Serving lunch of hot dogs, chips, “walking tacos” and a variety of homemade pies.

By looking through the calendar you will find multiple opportunities on most days to get out and enjoy Charlotte, MI. Lots of opportunities to get out of the house, connect with other and get involved in your community. Charlotte Frontier Days was founded in 1970 by Steve Musselman.
With profits from the first festival, bleachers were donated to Charlotte High School. Since then the Charlotte Frontier Days board members have made donations to the Charlotte public library, Charlotte public parks, and much more, making Frontier Days vital to the City of Charlotte.
